Lori Lee

Biography

I began my career in education at the age of 21 and have since served in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, behavior specialist, Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA), and administrator. I have taught at both the middle school and high school levels in science, English Language Development (ELD), and across multiple content areas. My work in education has focused on helping students connect their learning to real-world applications, ensuring they not only understand concepts but can also apply them in meaningful ways. My experience as a behavior specialist strengthened my ability to support students’ social-emotional needs and implement systems that promote positive student behavior and engagement.

In my leadership roles, I have served as an administrator across K–12 settings and have supported districtwide initiatives, including helping lead the transition from state science standards to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). This work involved collaborating with teachers, developing instructional systems, and supporting staff in implementing rigorous, student-centered instructional practices. My experience across grade levels and disciplines has given me a strong foundation in curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional development, and student support systems.

I am deeply committed to mentoring and supporting educators. I believe that when staff feel supported, valued, and empowered to grow, it positively impacts the students they serve. My priority is building systems and relationships that foster professional growth, instructional excellence, and a positive learning culture. I am committed to developing educators’ capacity to apply research-based practices and create meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for success.
