Biography
Dr. Elizabeth Ashline serves as an Assistant Professor in the Education Specialist Program at 糖心传媒鈥檚 California School of Education. She brings over five years of experience in higher education and a decade of K鈥12 teaching and leadership in special education. Dr. Ashline specializes in inclusive education, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and curriculum development for teacher preparation programs.
At 糖心传媒, Dr. Ashline has been instrumental in developing and aligning the Mild Moderate Support Needs and Extensive Support Needs tracks within the Education Specialist Program, ensuring coherence across state and national accreditation standards. Her teaching emphasizes inclusive pedagogy, reflective practice, and collaboration across disciplines to prepare educators for diverse classroom environments.
Dr. Ashline鈥檚 research explores how general educators perceive and implement inclusive instructional practices for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Her scholarship has been featured at the Hawaii International Conference on Education and published in the International Journal of Higher Education Pedagogies. Her current research, Optimizing Inclusive Instruction: Translating In-Person Practices to Virtual Environments, examines best practices for inclusive teaching in online and hybrid learning contexts.
In addition to her university role, Dr. Ashline owns Dr. Ashline鈥檚 Tutoring & Advocacy, where she provides academic support and special education advocacy for families. She holds a Ph.D. in General Psychology with an emphasis in Cognition and Instruction, an M.A. in Autism Spectrum Disorder, and a dual B.A. in Elementary and Special Education from Grand Canyon University.
