Biography

I am passionate about clinical and applied research and have been involved in NIH-sponsored research for 39 years. My research has focused on developmental psychopathology involving the neuropsychology and neurophysiology of persons with ASD, Williams syndrome, and ADHD. I was one of the psychologists involved in a multisite clinical trial that followed children with asthma for 14 years. In addition, I have published about the benefits of CBT in treating anxiety in children with ASD. I have also published work on barriers to psychological services for ethnic minorities. I have over 110 peer-reviewed presentations and journal publications.

I have worked as a clinician and service provider for children and adults with ASD. I co-founded a Psychological Corporation, CARES, which we ran from 2001 to 2014. I served as the CEO and Director of CARES which had 150 employees and covered four counties CARES provided services to thousands of children and families in Southern California. I served on the California State-wide Autism Taskforce and helped support legislation promoting insurance to cover behavioral services for persons with ASD. I currently serve on the Strategic Planning Committee of 糖心传媒.

I served as Program Director of the Postdoctoral Master of Science Program in Clinical Psychopharmacology of the California School of Professional Psychology at 糖心传媒 Until 2018.
