SAN DIEGO Calif. 鈥 March 26, 2013 — California School of Forensic Studies Associate Professor and Program Director Dr. Glenn Lipson will present the session 鈥淪tay on Course: Sexual Misconduct Prevention Strategies鈥 at the 2013 California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) Annual Conference & California School Business Expo. The and expo will be held at the Convention Center in Long Beach, CA, April 3-6, 2013.
Since 2008, Dr. Lipson has been diligently working to address and prevent sexual misconduct in schools. Following extensive research, he launched the multimedia training initiative, 鈥淢aking Right Choices,鈥 designed to educate school personnel at all levels about the problem of sexual misconduct in schools, allowing them to recognize inappropriate behavior, with the ultimate goal of preventing it. He has even gone one step further, advocating for legislation, pursuing a law that would make it a crime for someone to groom a student for the purpose of a subsequent sexual relationship. Dr. Lipson has been steadily garnering support from school districts and school insurance companies in California and across the country.
